I nnovation 2012 is not your average conference. It’s an “UN” conference. What does that mean? For starters, it means NO panels, NO keynotes, NO advertising pitches. In fact, we are the organizers and we have NO IDEA what the sessions will be about this year.
What “UN” conference means is that YOU, the attendee, get to have a say in what topics are covered. Heck, YOU get to stand in front of the crowd and tell them what topic you will cover. Are you getting the picture here? The unConference is all about YOU.YOU can lead a session. And if you don’t want to lead, you can go wherever you what, whenever you want. And if you aren’t happy with a session, just use the “law of two feet” and find one you like better.
And the juiciest part of the unConference doesn’t even happen in the sessions… it’s when you roam the halls and you bump into some of the most amazing people around. Accessibility is the key word here. You will not believe WHO you’ll meet when you are walking to the next session, pouring your cup of coffee, or even hitting the head.

And there’s something that makes this unConference different from others with a similar format – the mentoring. Hundreds of expert mentors get matched with entrepreneurs who are trying to get their businesses going and growing. You’ll see them at the tables sharing and connecting. Heck, maybe you’ll be one of the entrepreneurs who gets mentored.
We know the whole thing sounds a little crazy. We thought so too when we created it five years ago, but, amazingly, it works. We know that for a fact because each year we’ve watched it come together as an event even more incredible than the one the year before. And this year, we don’t expect anything less than awesome.
